Who would have ever guessed that my love for basketball as a child would pioneer a program that would bring other kids an incredible, life-changing experience…

I was beside myself with excitement, sitting between two official broadcasters for the Miami Heat. With a suit, tie, and headset on, I felt very professional, but I also felt like I might burst from all the adrenaline. We were on camera; the little red recording light blinking at us relentlessly made it hard to focus on the basketball game being played just feet away. The squeaking of the shoes and beating of the ball as it dribbled down the court filled my ears. Then:

SWISH. The crowd erupted in cheers as the ball fell through the basket. The energy in the American Airlines Arena was electric, and I couldn’t help but get caught up in the excitement along with the rest of the fans.

One of the broadcasters turned to me and said, “That was quite a defensive play from the Heat…Evan, what is your take on this?” Without hesitation, I confidently straightened up and answered, “Eric, that was such a tenacious play! The Heat have been playing strong defense all season.” I saw both broadcasters turn to look at me, astounded that I used the word tenacious.

At 11 years old, I was crazy about basketball. I am a native of South Florida, so my choice of teams was always clear… the Miami Heat. I busied my younger self, learning everything there was to know about basketball. The ever-changing roster and its players, each with their individual set of statistics, every rule of the game, and even the history behind it were like second nature to me. I knew any and everything about basketball, so I was more than prepared for my special moment.

At the start of 2009, there was no such thing as a Kidcaster. I was lucky that my parents had season tickets. My dad, seeing the passion I had, introduced me to the director and every person of influence that we could talk to. Along the way, it became a bit of an audition process to see if I could do some broadcasting. In the end, they selected me and one other kid to talk about the game and give our ‘expert’ opinions.

Today, it has become an annual tradition for a couple of kids to be selected to be a Kidcaster for the Miami Heat. I am proud to have paved the way for them! I’ve actually been back to the broadcasting seat on TV many times since then and now have my own radio show, Evan’s Excellent Buys, on 850AM WFTL every Saturday morning at 10 am!

In October 2022, my wife, Maria, and I got married. We had our daughter, Olivia Rose, on July 12th, 2024. We are overjoyed and grateful to have become parents! As my personal life has evolved, so has my career in real estate. I am fortunate enough to be ranked in the Top 1% of REALTORS® in the US for sold volume. I have also started The Sophir Team, which has been a great experience, helping teach and guide REALTORS® through their own journeys in the industry.

Each member of my team brings something unique to the table and comes from distinct backgrounds and business experiences. Together, we offer a collaborative, comprehensive  experience for our clients. Our number one priority is delivering the highest level of service to our clients by eliminating stress and providing value in every way.

The passion and preparedness I brought to basketball I bring to real estate. Just like I knew all the stats and facts, I keep updated with all the real estate facts, trends, laws, and market statistics.

In real estate, it is always game time, and my clients are the MVPs.

I continue to learn daily, building stronger skills and reaching out to more people who could use my help. I hope that I have the opportunity to help you along on your journey as well! Please do not hesitate to reach out to me anytime!

When I say I am willing to do anything for my clients, I truly mean that. On one occasion, I showed 23 homes over the course of two days! On another, I worked with a buyer whose previous agents had been unable to help them. Thinking outside the box, I reached out on an expired listing, and through that, they found their dream home. I am always willing to go that extra mile.

Being tech-savvy, I recognize the benefits of social media in marketing. I also recognize that this is a big investment for my clients and hugely important. I fight tooth and nail for my clients, and I love doing it! Parts of the process, like negotiations, can be among the most stressful; however, those are also the moments I have discovered to be the most rewarding. This is a job that allows me to bring people joy and freedom. I would love the chance to prove my commitment to you!

With gratitude,
